About Acupuncture for Soldiers
Acupuncture for Soldiers was created by Elizabeth Peterson, a Veteran of the US Army National Guard, who served eight years as a Combat Medic. Upon leaving the National Guard and graduating from the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin, she wanted to treat soldiers suffering from combat-related injuries and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), amongst other ailments. Elizabeth decided to offer soldiers and their families Acupuncture at a sliding-scale rate according to their rank. Since being founded in June 2009, Acupuncture for Soldiers has now expanded to include several other providers, and provide this necessary service to more soldiers and veterans in other locations.
